Weather Folly

It might as well be raining locusts. Or frogs. Last night it began to precipitate. Not snow, not rain, not even sleet, but ice. It "rained" ice. Covered everything before turning ever so subtley to snow. Which by morning had started to melt into slush. Heavy wet pounds of it. I have been excercising my favorite activity on a Sunday and that is to stay in bed and watch movies all day. I admit I dozed off at the start of the last one - only to be awakened by my restless dogs bounding up the stairs. Of course, I escorted them back downstairs and was treated to a lovely (if not joyous site) outside. Snow! Big, fluffy flakes coming down so hard that it's difficulet to see through it. Coming down in more than one direction. It's beautiful. I had hoped winter was ending. But in truth, that would mean that I would have to give up my Sundays in bed watching movies. I think I can stand a few more.
